I think she genuinely came into VShojo feeling like it was the best thing ever, and wanted to build it up as much as possible to make herself feel at ease. But in that process, she hyped VShojo up so much to a point that she can't back out of it without facing heavy criticism. She watching it fall apart in front of her and she doesn't want to believe it. Its hard to admit you're wrong, but she is digging the hole deeper and deeper. When VShojo DOES fall or she makes the decision to leave, its probably going to feel very embarrassing or uncomfortable.
All vtubers want to succeed, and pretty much every corporate vtuber will hype the fuck out of their own company, even if things aren't good behind the scenes, for the sake of themselves. This is why I continue to have an issue with vtuber companies.
