>>48951956Twitch culture is for low-lives, losers and children. Youtube has children and losers too but also normal and even successful people mixed in, because it's fucking Youtube, everything's on there. Twitch chuubas are far more likely to converge on the same tactics of shouting and screeching a lot (for ""humor"") to build up artificial hype, and being coomers if not outright straight-up whorish. It's a convergent evolution thing - that content fits the Twitch audience better, reflecting their mix of children and boomer coomers.
However, sadly the fact Twitch has per-capita probably more losers who give thousands to onlyfans girls and unironically watch hot tub streams on there, means that the type of suggestible thoughtless mind to give vtubers money is probably more common there, and easier to find and easier to recruit because the audience itself has lower standards and lower expectations. So even if the girl herself has higher ideals/standards for herself, if she just wants money, Twitch is the easier bet.
Even so, Youtube shorts supercharges you more than anything on Twitch can these days so I think it's a matter of learning how to exploit shorts algos - Filian got her giant sub base off shorts. Rin in Idol is I think the second-fastest vtuber growth this year behind her and guess what - also got huge off shorts. So between that, and also raids and gift memberships aka giftsubs being a thing on Youtube, it's quite competitive. There aren't a ton of indies on Youtube to raid each other off of like there are on Twitch, but that doesn't mean Twitch is the better platform forever, it's just where most of the indies currently-are.
