As some other anon said, try to pay attention to what Botan is saying, even if you don't understand anything.
You should try to focus and decipher the words she says and more importantly, the syllables those words are made of.
This is called active listening and you NEED to do that to get used to Japanese, otherwise the language is just going sounds like an incomprehensible mess of sounds for you.
Also you should check /fbk/'s OP, the good friends over there got some great resources and info to get started with Japanese.
As long as you do your reps diligently everyday then you'll eventually make it.
