First of all, the guy who makes those videos cut out covers > 1yr old...though having said that, the numbers did suddenly fall through the floor Sept-Oct ish last year before the 50 > 30 and 1yr changes. However, it seems to be less Hololive, more specifically covers vs. originals. The same guy does an originals list every 2 weeks, but even if you cut the displayed numbers in half it seems like a ton of originals are doing the numbers the covers used to. You're dunking on that guy but I agree, starsEN was something that, as a company, made sense to at least try. The problem is that not only it went badly, but EN management tried to make them a success by forcing them into the girl's fanbase with the whole holopro bullshit, and that caused a bad reaction that could have been avoided if they simply let them grow on their own. Then they finished the job of making them hated by releasing tempus2 and not EN3. A masterwork on how NOT to manage things, they should study this and teach it to their new managers so they hopefully don't fuck things up as hard as their predecessors.

Subaru is fairly insightful and has good deduction abilities so she catches on to things really fast and seems to appreciate the nuances of JRPGs in general. Hard disagree, the debacle surrounding Kronii left some pretty lasting damage and started pushing the situation from quiet acceptance to open hostility. It invited a shitload of tourists who just wanted to push a moral agenda and then fuck off because they didn't actually care about watching Hololive, so all that did was chase off the more casual audience while feeding the "idol culture is toxic" narrative that said "audience" has been trying to push for years. Tempus 2 was, at worst, the straw that broke the camel's back, where it became nearly impossible to deny that the "eat your homo veggies" hard push was coming at the expense of EN3 and/or the existing girls.

There's possibly a parallel universe where Yagoo gets his integrated homo branch, but they went about it in one of the worst possible ways, both gouging a chunk out of the girls for no gain, while also turning the Tempus brand into radioactive lepers that should not be named - not out of fear of unicorns, but rather out of fear that the moral crusade gets another whiff and drags everyone into their bullshit all over again.
