Quitting would have meant breaking her contract (which is already a big deal in jp business), but also it would mean the biggest name in vtubing at the time, with the most popular vtuber by a mile, could easily put pressure on any other vtubing company to never hire her or work with her. For Polka, who has been an idol-fag all her life, and for who vtubing opened a door to that life that she would never have been able to do otherwise, putting that dream at risk just wasn't an option. It sucks, but Polka nutted up and did what she had to do to keep her dreams alive; It's why I respect the hell out of her, and how I know beyond even the faintest shadow of a doubt that she is in this thing for the love of it, and the love of her fans, and not just for money, or as a stepping stone to something else.
