You also need to have an idea of what you want to be doing with it and work in cards and artifacts around that
You also need to work with what you're given, so know what the character you're playing has available for deckbuilding and know how to path builds
Oh, and remember that the most important thing is DAMAGE unless you're going for a super defense build for some reason, things can't whittle you down and cost you resources if they're dead
