Quick lesson on what a Changelling is: imagine those spooky European tales of fairies grabbing misbehaving kids in the woods and turning them into slaves/servants/enforcers and physically modified just because of their whims, leaving a doppelganger made of sticks, stones (mentioned in today's tutorial) and whatever crap found in the woods. A human grabbed by those becomes a Changeling, whose purpose in life is to try going back to normal (guess what, it won't happen that easily). A True Fae is, by all means, the final boss version of those kidnapping fairies, so powerful that when they entered our world, humans thought they were gods and built myths and religions around them. And such a thing powers them A LOT, much like that "I do believe in fairies" scene in Hook, remember that movie?
The Hook is what happens when a True Fae back in the 50's noticed humans keep creating stories and tales about murderous serial killers, and thinks "I should just cosplay as a hook-wielding murder machine and kill humans to keep those stories going". Now imagine every real world tale of a killer that inspires slasher flicks became one single entity. Who is so adamant about staying as a killing monster that it does not bother kidnapping humans, it just guts them open.
