Worse, the burden will be seen as just by society, ie: taking care of an invalid or doing such labor as a penance. No one will sympathize with Watoto's desperate need to escape, and she fears she may suffocate under the confines and expectations of organized society.
Gura faces almost the opposite challenge: her character is gifted and capable, but she suffers from some weakness or limitation (her previously canon blindness, her current child-form) that undermines her ability to make decisions with confidence. Shadow Lady (tm) is forced by circumstance to rely on others in the party to achieve her goals, but she hates nothing more in this world than others thinking her weak or weak-willed.
