>>51469583I swear to god you ENsharts have never heard an idol song in your life. Do you even watch Hololive, did you watch any Holofes? You have to know at least SSS, Kirameki Rider or Our Bright Parade. Those are good examples, amazing even. They don't get old, on the contrary, they feel more and more touching with time. This one is pretty generic, it's just... an idol song, not really memorable. But it's already miles better on singing and mixing side than 99% of anything ENs have done.
Mixing in a bit of SSS melody was kino part because SSS is just THIS good as an idol song and improves everything. I cried to SSS multiple times.
MV, on the other hand... Non-dancing parts are awkward and most dancing parts look motion captured from one person and strapped on everyone. It's only the bridge and the final part where they genuinely mocapped everyone (I can tell because Mori is fucking Mori). Why not mocap everyone for the whole song? Is this simple choreo too hard to learn and perform decently for everyone? Oh yeah, I forgot, it's EN. Well, it is what it is.
You don't know what idol stuff is about so I'll tell you: it's not about overanalyzing the lyrics, it's not about individual singing, it's not about some ultra innovative music choices. It's about listening to cute girls singing about friendship, overcoming obstacles, future, dreams and stuff, and it's about being happy for your oshi shining on stage together with her group. This provides the experience at least to some degree.
