But I can just like things because they're good and I like them, not because they are #1. Part of the idol journey is supposed to be cheering for someone who rises up despite their struggles, and part of what I find so inspiring about Mumei is that she's very genuine and forthright with her relatable, everyday struggles. She shines all the brighter when I know just how hard it is for her to put herself out of her comfort zone, grind hard to record something despite her vocal issues and then share what she made with the world.
