>>54299274I work professionally (managerial) in the arts, and I can tell you, most artists are unprofessional shitheads. If you find an artist who is consistent and professional, it's absolute gold. Being able to meet deadlines, follow procedure, keep NDA, meet proper file formatting, maintain a reliable baseline of quality, etc. are absolutely invaluable, I can't emphasize it enough. Constantly trying to scout new talent and HOPING that they work out is a huge waste of time. If I got an artist who can consistently meet deadlines with B-grade art, I'm going to hold onto them for dear life. I don't want to waste my time on an A-grade artist who blows deadlines, or only produces A-grade art 10% of the time (and C-grade art 90% of the time), or whatever.
