>>54308205Hour-long debuts are pretty tough legitimately because like half the time the chuuba is too shy/nervous to really talk openly much if she finishes her debut early. Some can do it, some struggle however even if they are actually really good chuubas. Pekora's debut kinda sucked, people on /jp/ panned her when she first started believe it or not. Korone's was an unmitigated fucking disaster and IIRC she didn't just bomb but wanted to cancel the debut midway through. Bad debuts are things yes but might not necessarily reflect what happens or how they turn out, like FWIW Sana actually had a really good debut.
Half-hour slots basically give less time for the girl to get stage fright and freeze up and bomb the debut. You do not need an hour to go over your couple-minutes of lore and your basics like your favorite games/music/anime, everything after that is up to the chuubas. Of course they're gonna be scared shitless with thousands of people watching and closely hanging onto every word, they gotta watch what they say or don't say, not to mention lots of Cover staff is watching, their senpai are watching etc. They may only really begin to open up within a week or two once they get used to it.
