>>54757349I really enjoyed Council when they debuted and still do but Advent is just better in every way. And Myth is the best gen by far.
Council suffered from prioritizing cohesion over individuals. While they had excellent chemistry from the get go, their individual members were fairly lacklustre and plain and still are.
>KroniiUnironically she was the standout after debuts but turned into a massive flaming mess. Sans the drama it turns out she doesn't really bring much to the table besides a sexy voice and coomer design.
>SanaA real sweetheart but not cut out for hololive standards. Very boring personality, voice, and inconsistent. Flamed out quickly. I feel bad for her because she was genuinely a cgdct/massive idol culture/hololive fan but she was just boring. And her design sucked.
>MumeiThe biggest rise of a Council member from debut to present, her debut stream was a fucking disaster - worse than Ames by a long shot. She has a great voice and design but despite all this is still fairly boring. Her personality is flat, plain, and she doesn't really offer much that 2views don't. She's your run of the mill vtuber you find on YT or Twitch sifting through the category.
>FaunaThe most consistent and standout of Council. She dropped all her prior baggage and integrated extremely well into hololive and its expectations. Great voice, design, and hits the Ina-tier comfy/cozy niche extremely well while having moments of comedy and fun/gap.
>BaeAnother standout from the generation. Interesting, fun, and boisterous. Accent and collab partners are a turnoff for many but otherwise, a great addition to hololive.
So in hindsight, Council really only nailed 2/5 members. The others are - average (Mumei) and 2 flaming dumpsters in Kronii and Sana.
First impressions aside, Advent seems to overwhelmingly favor the individual. Unique, great, bubbly, and most importantly-fun personalities, alongside similarly unique designs and aesthetics. Each debut has been a blast and each girl has been extremely interesting.
This is not to mention that, while their collab chemistry isn't up to par with the others, we saw glimpses into what they could be when they got off script and began talking about random shit.
The Twins look to be Gura-tier in terms of overall appeal and entertainment, and Bijou as well. The other two aren't far off either, Shiori gets a lot of flak but she's shown flashes of greatness with her 'tism and gap. Nerissa is pure talent and an excellent voice and model.
Time will tell, but Council really was the letdown of EN. Cover learned a lot from them.
