She can just do both, in fact the vtubing will just HELP her achieve her goals. She has zero reason to end her Hololive career unless she does something incredibly stupid and is forced to end (fan outrage, Cover firing her etc).

I just looked it up in case things changed, but she definitely had a vtuber persona. She rebranded from her PL to her RM after getting picked up by EN3, to funnel the hololive brand to her RM's career.

I actually watched her. Her content and effort she put in was subpar, the way she didn't bother fixing her mic settings, the way she didn't care about the overlay, the quality of the zatsu she did, she basically relied on collabs to be entertaining. At the time, to me, it was clear she was jumping on a popular trend using her channel's size as a starting point. Now, I understand that she never meant to stick around and only wanted to get into hololive, which good for her I guess? You could even tell from her debut, how instead of having the camera facing her, it was off to the side making her rigging look like shit. It was a combination of inexperience and not wanting to compromise her setup.

Her singing is great, don't get me wrong but I don't have much faith in her content. I hope she proves me wrong, has the inetiative to learn, and actually starts to try now that she has a bigger audience.

It's a bit of both I'd say, since older consoles also become more rare (and thus more expensive) as time passes. It could be a "I watched big brother play" kinda thing, or that the cornfields were slow on the uptake. I think 2005 is a bit late, but I could see someone picking up OOT for the first time in 2002 or 3.
