>>55424418>>55424922The formats are different. YT music uses format 140 (AAC-LC, 128kbps) while regular YT uses format 251 (Opus, max 160kbps). Generally Opus is supposed to be a "better" codec but at moderate bitrates they're so similar that perceived quality would probably depend more on other factors, like the normalization others mentioned.
The place where YT Music would be really be better on codec is if you have a premium subscription and are listening to a proper music upload where format 141 (AAC, 256kbps) is available. It's the same format you get on paid Spotify or Apple Music, transparent unless you're a lossless schizo. Holo song covers are just regular videos so they don't have that format, but the music-only version of orisongs should have it.
