>>56364171It's a good and welcome direction, and it has most of the pieces I would like, but I feel that some parts get crammed together in one song and make it somewhat weird in consistency.
>Black SheepPerfect. No complaints. I don't know what else to say.
>CarouselFantastic, but the F/Tish high-pitched squealing at 0:25 kind of rap wasn't a good fit for the song. However, having that style at the start and then near the end of the song at 2:36 in a very different and more white "Western" cadence is a very interesting and cool contrast.
>Left for Dead Lullaby and You're Not Specialare the two songs that feel like they're supposed to be like, 10 songs, but mashed together. I don't hate it, in fact I love L4DL, it's just I feel their individual parts should be separate songs - and maybe Mori will expand on that since this IS
another experimental album.
>Six Feet UnderI need more time listening to this
Also. Maybe Mori could unironically read philosophy, read stories or delve deeper into TTRPGs and use them as tools. Because her experimentation is giving me the same vibes power metal bands sometimes do and those guys are nerdy fucks who use what I mention to fuel their lyricism. Speaking of lyricism;
>Living like a moth beneath the glassYeah, this is an amazing line. It's right up there with Kamouflage's "Your Mona Lisa talks".
I never understood why people rib Mori for her lyrics She really writes very colorful and creative image-provoking lines. Maybe it's a background thing because I spent my youth on metal and rock and shit like that is not unusual.
I'm not gatekeeping metal with "must have an actual band with real guitars" even though that's my real preference because more people are more welcome, especially if it's Mori. It's also not realistic at this stage and a good song is a good song. Would be nice though.
