Obviously not every one of their fans switched over, but it illustrates that they didn't need to use the Hololive brand to become popular in the first place, it was a boost instead of a necessity.
I'll admit I didn't know that Mumei already had a mil subs, but I guess that would explain why she's the most popular Council member (although just barely). Still being under a million probably has something to do with Council in general fucking up.
Also, wasn't Gura only gone for a few months before she debuted on Myth? I can't remember.
People were realizing who she was like 15 minutes into her debut stream, it didn't take long at all. She put a cowboy in the thumbnail, she was going out of her way to let people know.
