>You get home from work
>Shiori greets you at the door with a hug and kiss and asks about your day
>She says she's cooking something good for dinner, your favorite, but it'll take a little while, she put it on late
>You tell her she didn't have to, she's still not feeling well so she should have just rest
>You reach into the bag you bought home, you went to the store on your way back and bought her a new bug kit, she loves those
>She's surprised to see what you've given her, then she breaks into a wide smile, throws her arms around your neck and gives you another big hug
>Then, she races off to start opening it and investigate the bugs within
>But she comes back almost immediately, grabs your hand and tells you that you just have to watch her open it
>You're tired from a hard day, but you oblige, you can't say no to her when she's like this
>You don't really retain much of the information she tells you, when she's speaking a mile a minute excitedly, but you can tell she's very happy with your present, and she's passionately lecturing you on the bugs she's uncovered
>Then suddenly she stops, drops her bugs on the table, runs out of the room without warning, you hear a scream coming from the kitchen
>You go to investigate and Shiori is standing over the dinner she's prepared, it's not total charcoal, but it's a little burned
>You tell her it's okay, you'll still eat it, it doesn't look too bad, she's very apologetic, blaming herself for getting enthralled in the bugs and failing to notice the time
>You both sit down at the table to eat, you take a bite, it's definitely overcooked, but it's not the worst thing you've had, you tell Shiori that it's good, she smiles wryly and thanks you, but tells you she'll try better next time
>You finish dinner and help her do the washing up, then you shower together, making sure to wash each other's backs and then you head to bed
>"Goodnight" Shiori says, placing a kiss upon your lips, before lying down to rest "I love you".
>You tell Shiori you love her too, and in your mind you note that today too, Shiori was cute.
