Kanatan's voice falls within the soprano range, with a remarkable ability to effortlessly transition between soft, melodic tones and powerful, resonant notes. Her tone can be described as rich and velvety, possessing a comforting quality and added her vocal timbre is instantly recognizable and serves as a signature element of her music.
To describe Kanata's ability is not an easy thing to do. One her distinctive vocal features is her impeccable control over dynamics. She skillfully uses variations in volume to convey different emotions within her songs, drawing heimins in with intimate, hushed moments before building up to intense crescendos that evoke strong feelings. This mastery of dynamics allows her to create an emotional rollercoaster in an utawaku or even her usual cover. It's also to be pointed that some of Kanata's cover are self-mixed, and so with her novice ability, it's still surprising that she can still achieve this. Another thing is that when you hear Kanatan's performance, you can always feel the authenticsm. She has a way of making his audience feel as though she is sharing a deeply personal story with them, creating a sense of intimacy even beyond screens. Her ability to convey raw emotion through her voice is a testament to her artistry and dedication to her craft.
I admit that in terms of vocal technique, Kanatan lacks breath control sometimes. They can easily enchance her ability and sometimes you can see her holding long notes, but small breaks inbetween short lines are generally rare to be seen. Improving is more than possible.
