Honestly, I used to think they were great.
Then I started working at this tech company I will not name there the employeebase was 99% indians. I am not joking when I say I was one of 4 (FOUR!) white people on my entire floor of probably over 100. And it was then I experienced the hellhole that was asian/indian work culture. They basically want your entire life, your efforts do not matter, only how much of your life you give up for them. There was also this subtle toxicity where they would constantly try to downplay the efforts of other people and exclusively upplay themselves, for ANY collaborative project.
Individually, from a social-interaction-perspective, they were still generally nice people, but good fucking god that work culture, and I could never shake the feeling they were just being nice to me because I was white.
