That's what happens when they actually use the same artist. Using a bunch of different artists like Hololive avoids sameface but it also makes your talents look like a gacha game where you got Beowulf next to Charlotte Corday and the difference in art styles is jarring. This comparison is particularly apt since Hololive constantly hires actual FGO artists.

All female only corporations have to compete with each other and a big dog called Hololive. So the idea of an all male only group, isn't so bad. They can grow a whole new audience. Nijisanji EN almost had it, but mixed gender waves and collabs killed their success.

Nijisanji is still the most popular when it comes to raw numbers. Second to them is about 2 or 3 big name indies from 2020 (with Chinese fujo fanbses), and then Tempus. In general, if you're in it for the money/views, your best bet is the Chinese fujos.

It's a difference in culture I think. Vshojo has always had more of a Western-style entertainment focus and a bigger connection to the indie scene, which itself has never had problems with mixed collabs. It''s the same reason why you don't see a lot of Tempus-centric unicorns. In general though, Cover is way too big of a company, it's built up like 3 or 4 different subcultures that all want different things and can't get along as a result.

That's usually how it is in other parts of society too. Did you know that there's no actual gender divisions in most sports? There's just the "everyone can join" league (that just so happens to be only populated by men because they're much better than women) and then the women's league. Same with chess.

Have you only played FGO or something? Most gacha games have a much more unified artstyle and fewer involved artists. (Genshin, Blue Archive, Girls Frontline, etc.) FGO is special in that it's heavily involved in the doujin community and allows artists a great deal of freedom with the characters they're assigned. That's part of the charm of Nasu retaining the rights to the franchise.
