1) Lore interpretation: Mumei is chasing the previous person she was before she lost her memories because she feels the gnawing feeling that she's missing something. But by the end of the song she takes up the name "Mumei" instead of calling herself "Nameless" because she has come to accept herself as she is and doesn't consider herself incomplete, but is rather a new person going forward in her own way.
2) Mumei (the person) felt lonely and anonymized by largely living in isolation before Hololive. She was a face in the crowd who very few people knew, especially when she lost the few social connections she had during the pandemic. She became Mumei (the Vtuber) by joining Hololive and now she can fill the void in her heart by dedicating herself to her fans and getting to spend time laughing and smiling with them and the other girls. She's holding onto the name, "Mumei" as hard as she can because she knows that's what connects her to her fans and the other members of Hololive.
