>You arrive home, you've got a date with Shiori after the two of you finish work, you're going to watch a movie.
>Shiori promised you she'd cook you a dinner that'd melt your heart, but entering the apartment, there's nobody there, and you can't smell anything cooking either.
>Checking your phone there's a message you've missed, it's from Shiori.
>"The boss has asked me to work overtime, I can't refuse. Order us something nice for dinner and I'll be home soon xoxo"
>You call for a pizza, it's not fancy but it's quick and does the job
>You sit down and wait for Shiori, but an hour passes, two, then three, and when you can no longer fight off sleep, you resign yourself to the disappointment brewing in your heart and retire for the night to bed.
>Later, you're woken by movement in the room, and then the covers being lifted. It's Shiori. You glance over at the clock, it's been another two hours. She's very late.
>Seeing you wake up, Shiori who has now wiggled her way into bed facing you strokes your head.
>"I'm sorry, there was more to fix than I anticipated. I couldn't even get a moment to message you. I know how much you were looking forward to tonight too. Will you forgive me?"
>You instantly forgive her, but you want to play the sympathy card a little, see if she can sweeten the deal. You tell Shiori that you're still feeling sore over the whole thing.
>"Shiori places her hand behind your head and pulls herself toward you, planting a big kiss upon your lips. "How about now? Am I absolved of my transgressions?"
>You're clearly smiling, Shiori knows you've long forgiven her, you can't stay mad at each other. It's impossible.
>"Tell you what, we're both off tomorrow. I'll cook your favorite meal, and we'll watch that movie, and, well, I'll do that thing you like for you right now, deal?"
>Being given an offer you can't refuse, you verbally relent. Shiori wraps her arms around you in a tight embrace and apologizes again, before preparing for what's sure to be a long and passionate night ahead.
