When Cover is angry enough to give out a suspension for several months that is usually a bad sign. Gura and management are fighting again but they are letting her occasionally show up for collabs. Gura, Sana, Ina, Laplus, and Haachama had radio silent "health" breaks that went on for months. Whether it's suspensions or fights over contracts there must be a reason this happens so often in Hololive. Haachama set a new record with her 8 month "flu" break and people need to take what Cover says with a grain of salt.

Cover does have financial reasons to allow Gura to shill merch which is more profitable than if she completely disappears. I think Gura burned out in the summer. But she didn't plan to leave, otherwise why update all her PC and do an anime opening for her streams--money that comes out of her pocket (a lot if we believe what Bae says about paying for animation). Gura suddenly got real quiet around the time it was clear that Magni and Vesper were going to graduate. It think it's contract stuff involving groups of EN. Ame breaking suddenly for two and a half weeks at the time Gura took her month silents and admitting publicly that she was mad at staff stands out too.
