There I sat inside my room, with my lights turned off and the windows closed. It was night time already and the only source of light was that of my computer monitor. I took a sip of my freshly poured chocolate milk, still cold from being in the refrigerator, as my eyes stared at the countdown on the screen. In less than five minutes it would be time for what people used to call "ultra-unhingedness" and I was both eager and ready for it. As you would expect I wasn't alone in my waiting. Thousands of people from all over the world were as impatient as I was to see those numbers finally reach zero. We know nothing of each other, we are complete strangers, but we all gather on this virtual spot and treat each other as friends, to the point of sometimes insulting each other. The seconds left reached 0 and the screen displayed a smooth and elegant transition, as a gentle and lovely voice greeted us with her characteristic "Shiorin~"
With just a single word, all the worries in the word banished. The magic circle was closed, pulling everyone in, making us forget about everything but her and her voice. And, for that period of time, I was finally happy
