Headaches and Hangovers Edition
Yesterday was Mel's birthday and what a birthday it was. Perfectly in line with Melody herself this was a birthday stream that eschewed many of the popular stand-bys that the other girl's birthdays have had. It was Melody's longest stream ever at 6 hours, and while on paper it may pale in comparison to the 10 hours from both pink cat and Zen, or the symbolic 7 hours from Mouse, adding her activities on the other site into still brings her on par with the others. Rather than the traditional VR Chat meetup Mel instead went the route of Gartic Phone, which did a fantastic job of producing some cursed imagery, as well as some surprisingly cute ones. All in all a fun night with friends.
And then the alcohol hit. Obviously none of us were there so we can't make a judgment call, but there may have been evidence to prove Melody isn't very good at handling drinks of an alcoholic nature. Only a few games in she was barely able to draw a thing and stopped playing the game to instead just chat with her friends. But if there's one thing Mel's always excelled at it's Just Chatting and it produced a very enjoyable discussion on things ranging from poisoning old people with Hydroxes, to Drake being arrested. The latter of which just so happened to be the discussion when the NijiEN girls, forced to Twitch for YT problems, decided to raid her! One might think this makes a bad first impression, but even when sloshed out of her mind many found Mel to be a joy and she hinted that there was something for the future she couldn't yet discuss that might involve them?
Like all birthday streams it had its ups and its downs and its emotional moments but it's definitely one to remember. The day after streams like this are always a bit melancholy but life goes on so do your best to keep the thread comfy by ignoring bait, and being excellent to one another.
