I'll tell it straight, this is NOT something that happen when you manage something profitable, even if it's only a smal bargain.
Cover is a bit machine now, so cost are quite high.
My conclusion RN is that stars are NOT profitable at all, and yagoo is losing ground to market them as an investissement more and more resulting in the drop of quality, this is litteraly the most basic banckrupt situation of a project (very similar to what is happening to niji).
On top of that, the girls also don't generate almost infinite amount of money like before, especialy in EN. That explain why they let other member stream over debut, because they can't afford to diminish the income of the girls anymore at that point.
You can find a few indice in recent kiara rant, like she don't get concert for her or for myth, same with the rule for handcam who seem to recenter the desired audience to the original Vtuber audience IMO.
All point toward stars EN being dead weight and yagoo isn't able to pretend the opposite, but, like in everything there will be a desesperate attempt, who will, like you say give 9K suscriber who will not care soon enought anyway.
I wished at least homo wouldn't implode in a bad way, but with the desesperate attempt we are seeing here it's not something that will happen, so i'm both happy they will be soon gone, but also anoyed that they won't cause even more trouble before being memoriholed.
