IRyS is obviously more technically skilled with a much larger range.
That being said, Gura's voice has an alluring quality. It has a charming/unique factor to it that makes it very pleasant to listen to.

Like people have said in the thread above, IRyS is more of a skilled typical anisong singer. Gura sounds more like a sweet indie singer or something.

What’s this “technical skill” irysfags are bringing up? Because this cover sounds flat as hell, like she’s just following the lyrics and the notes, and doesn’t understand the emotions the song is supposed to convey at all. Meanwhile, Gura totally gets it; the way she draws out and ends notes + that little “aishiteru”, it genuinely sounds like she’s in love with me when she sings. Not even a cumbud, but Gura’s singing just sounds a lot more natural to me.

The problem is that it’s getting repeated, as other people then copy and repeat the same comment. Only when you ask for them to show you the wide range between low and high for IRyS, do they suddenly begin to understand there isn’t one. That doesn’t make IRyS a bad singer, it just means she is being overhyped in a false way. You could argue the same for Gura, but they seem to focus less on hyping technique and rely more on voice.
