I just figured it out a loophole for the chicken voice.
If Kiara's issue is lore/immersion-related, then she can just say that she's established a connection with one of her previous or future phoenix incarnations or whatever.
So sometimes we will get THAT incarnation of Kiara instead, where she will sing/talk in her regular voice instead of the chicken one. So it won't be weird that she suddenly talks differently, because it's another phoenix life we're seeing.

Gura did exactly that, getting trapped by the the trap door alone wouldn't have resulted in her drowning because of the air bubble from the magma block.
Gura was holding her torch when she got down and tried to open the trap door but she placed the torch instead, breaking the air bubble before finally getting out.
In Gura's case it was just an honest accident really.

Imo the Aikotoba outfits are rather bland for both of them. The outfits are cute, but anyone could wear them and be fine with it. The Sparks outfit is definitely referencing Kiara more, like the white puffy sleeves referencing both of her official outfits, the short shorts showcasing her thighs, the phoenix wings on the jacket and the pearlescent white representing her flames. It's way too good.

I'd give her a go. It was talked about a little earlier, but there's part of me that thinks she would get complacent with no one around to keep pace with. Kiara busts ass and it's obvious that she always has, but she's usually had a focus or a goal in mind to keep her drive going. Being a vtuber striking out on your kwn means you don't get the associated view boost, you don't get the collab partners as easy (even if Cover is a nightmare about it sometimes), you don't get the sponsored streams for extra money options, you get less connections (I still think Cover opens doors for them in regards to the music stuff), etc. Could she still make it and it just as entertaining? 100%, just that it'll take even more energy, time, and commitment than it currently does (and no this isn't me saying she doesn't put in effort with Hololive).

For me it isn't hesitation on if I would watch her, it's hesitation on if I would actually like what she chose to do after Hololive. If she continues to stream under a new name I'll check it out. If it has the same high energy and overly-emotional woman behind the avatar or just streaming, I'm in. Vtubing gives a lot more freedom to the vtuber and I think it makes people less nervous and more open to sharing both their emotions and their personal stories. If she went to cam streaming I don't think the experience would be the same.

I've figured out the reason Kiara sounds so sad today.
No doubt she feels like a failure after what she revealed on her members stream, so now she doesn't really feel like she deserves these superchats.
She did say that she has been feeling this way since her birthday stream, and these superchats are now reminding her of how she felt back then.

I actually think seeing all the support and talk about her music in the SCs was a good thing, because this all got sent before members vent.
