>>64396624Hachi is a great case study in how to succeed, and she provides a bunch of interesting data points. Like, the absolute failure of Yomaigoto, relatively speaking, alongside Bye Bye Teddy Bear, shows how important a good thumbnail is. Being able to recognize at a glance that the content is coming from someone who's face is in the picture vs it being a random YT recommendation seems to make a huge difference with how well it goes, though looking at Spotify numbers, it seems like I'm alone in really liking the sound of Yomaigoto. However, the disparity between it and Natsutourou is way higher on YT then it is on Spotify, with a ~1:2 ratio on Spotify by a 1:5 on Youtube despite the MVs being released sequentially and Yomaigoto have a way higher effort one even if it doesn't feature Hachi. Of course, there is the confounding factor that Yomaigoto isn't as loopable because of deadspace in the MV at the start and end, but still.
>>64396996You'll probably also like Koko from the VWP then. VWP has the 3 girls who sound similar to AZKi in how breathy they are in Jou, KAF, and RIM even if they make very different music in genre selections, and then 2 more bombastic girls in Haru and Koko. You can say a lot about the VWP and how they handle things, but they're all top tier singers and in the company for a reason.
>>64397128Conversely, if you keep engaging with streams, you'll end up with a front page that's populated with multiple choices from the channel. The problem that Peko and Koyo, and even Watame to an extent, suffer is that their fanbase preferentially engages with their streams and so the algorithm doesn't push their music because it thinks people who're engaging with the channel want more streams since that's what the majority do. I think the problem isn't the algorithm itself, it's the behavior of the audience you cultivate by streaming heavily and how this shapes the algorithm.
