I agree. I like Bijou's streams more but Selen is objectively a better FPS player and stronger gamer. She actually plays competitively and tries to challenge herself even if it results in getting humiliating losses sometimes. She also did clear Bloodborne and Demon's Souls so it's not like she's bad at Souls games.

Malenia isn't even hard if you just learn the fight. Selen has never played Elden Ring but it's not like beating Malenia is some pro gamer accomplishment. Even I beat her with a dual spear build. If you wanna argue about hard single player bosses talk about Isshin from Sekiro at least.

Actually, thinking about it, the voter base for the nominees is actually much more narrow than the voter base for the winners. Once you get on the nominee list, you can mobilize your community to vote for you. If anything, Hololive's presence on the nominee list for a Twitch-centric awards show is already impressive on its own.

Actually her earlier runs into the challenge was far more impressive. The Renala fight was what sold me. She uses the rock staff which has long as fuck wind up animations, terrible damage and a lot of attack ended up missing

I honestly think Selen was the only one whose awards made sense OUTSIDE of the popularity contest.

In terms of sheer variety and output there's not many people like Selen. The only vtuber who is a cut above her in this regard is Kuzuha, but she's a cut above everyone else.
