Well the giant difference in predictions for IRyS karaoke is because there are SO MANY factors that both make and also break her. The time slot and her looks aren’t to everyone’s liking, while some people may like her for singing, or simply her personality. To me though, she sounds too generic. While Gura seems to have a lot more emotion (some call it soul) in her voice when she sings. People tend to have difficulty evaluating the value of this for a singer, but it is apparently of some great value. I also evaluated the “fly me to the moon” song that both of them sang. It’s just my opinion after hearing a lot from both of them. Overall I do like both, but IRyS didn’t grab me like Gura’s singing. I felt indifferent over IRyS.

I think my prediction of 60k is accurate. Many here aren’t factoring in the great desire people will have in seeing a EN VSinger’s first karaoke. It’s a big deal IMO. I said before too, that people are underestimating IRyS, and that she will likely end up #2 in popularity for Holo EN. So even if some people think I’m being overly critical of her at times, I’m still able to evaluate her success. I don’t even have to like her to see she is being underestimated.

From what I can tell for today's top 10:
1) 4 holomem collab with 2 of the most popular recently, at least 30k+ so 32k "only" is a bit of a disappointment
2) Kuzuha was playing with genburten, an Apex pro. Another instance where Kuzuha gets a buff collabing with an Apex eceleb. He was also speaking english the whole time which was pretty funny.
3) Ib continues to build the fucking death star block by block by himself
4) Average Pekora endurance singing stream to 1.6mil. She pulled huge numbers in her last 2 due to special circumstances, but 25k is around what she usually gets.
5) First Irys Apex stream got 25k quick but people needed to go to sleep in EST and she lost viewers over time.
6) Suisei usually gets 12k playing MC so Axolotl challenge buffed her a bit
7) Hal + Apex is always 15k+
9), 10) pretty normal Botan and Miko numbers

I dunno, unless my memory is ass, Suisei's weekly archived karaoke runs CCV numbers similar to or better than Pekora's minecraft, even if you exclude the Coco one. I'd instead argue that there's a gap between karaoke where you're either expecting a mini live, or someone fucking around in front of a teleprompter. Suisei and Gura typically use them as mini lives where they put a decent amount of planning and prep into them, and IRyS has certain expectations as the new Vsinger, so projecting the expectations of at Suisei's crowd (mini live) seems reasonable.

Most of Gura's recent 3 hour streams are inflated by superchat readings. If you click on them, she usually stops playing games at the 1.5 hr mark and reads SCs/chats for 1.5 hours. The viewership during these times goes down by half, as expected. Pekora doesn't always end with a SC reading portion since she does multiple streams a day sometimes. Gura has to because she barely streams 4 times a week and she's already so hopelessly behind in SCs that the ones from her before her Bday stream still aren't read yet. No one knows which stream the SCs she's thanking comes from at this point, it's just a endless pool.
My point is, she's not getting new viewers for half the stream cuz it's not game time.

The biggest difference between the NijiEN and HoloEN is that HoloEN managed to bring a lot of new blood into the community.
NijiEN seems to be mostly comprised of existing vtuber fans (mainly HoloEN).
This has me concerned that HoloEN2 will potentially just kill all their momentum because of that. They got lucky that IRyS streams at the shittiest time possible for any NA viewer (and that her model is very off-putting to some).

The only nijiJP male that's worth shit is Kuzuha but he's an apex autist. I'm the anon you replied to, but I don't really agree with this. Lize and Kenmochi are 2 big Nijis that they lost, but they replaced them with Kuzuha and Kagami who are arguably more popular.

Some debuffs I can think of that might hurt their chances of surpassing 190k are that
- the lack of novelty factor being the 2nd of something
- the live viewer change in Dec 2020 might affect the peak numbers since Nijis got somewhat affected by it too

190k is gonna mog basically any holo event anyways. The only Holo moment more than 190k, disregarding Coco's graduation, is Gura's costume reveal for like 1 minute. Nothing else really came close.

Trying to come up with what event Cover can come up with that can sustain 150k+ and I'm struggling. Holos don't usually do big hype competitive events. The last one was the Mario Kart tournament and I believe if we add all the split viewers together, it beat 190k, but numbers don't work like that.

The only Niji I've seen with good Genshin numbers is Lize. She gets 10k+ sometimes streaming it. It's pretty anemic otherwise, like most gacha game streams.

Ever since YT updated how they count their live viewers, it's safe to say that those numbers counts as one big group as opposed to Koshien event and Gura event where viewers are siphoned into one channel. It doesn't count as a view if you tabbed out for more than 30 seconds. Take Coco's graduation for example, realistically there's 300k Holofans around the world minus the tourists. A single event from a Holo could easily gather around 200k+ as compared to a Koshien event where mostly JOPs and a minority of global fans watch them. Now, you've included two debuffs and I agree. Those two would impact the numbers of live viewers drastically even if Kagami and Kuzuha is there. Could they make the event interesting than the last? I don't know, I don't watch those two. All in all, I'm betting around 150-170k the highest they can get for the whole event. Novelty + YT live view count is a huge debuff. It already receive a minus one point from me on how they used ads to promote their event kek.

Gura was streaming on her peak regular hour. Noone was streaming except for her. Irys streamed 6hrs way past peak hour. Even JP watchers on Twitter had to admit that they had to go out a little bit to sneak a watch because guess what, people have work. They are only now watching the VOD. If Gura can't show up numbers playing Minecraft on a JP primetime unlike Pekora then that means EN have a massive EN audience gap compared to JP holos. Her Karaoke only proves 2 things, there are a lot of EOP outside of NA that are tuning in and if you check Twitter they are mostly from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Australia and other Asian countries. Second point is that there are a number of NA viewers that did stay up for her. Of course there JP as well mixed in there. We can't say the same for JP holos like Marine though who still gets her regular 25k plus number during NA primetime playing MC.
