>>66071209>>66072787Since the inception of this site, people over here have always perverted the idea of attention.
Attention whoring was always seen as something bad here, which makes sense for a teenager coping with rejection on the internet. The problem is when you don't grow up from that idea and you become a 20-something who's looking for a partner.
Striving for attention is good for you. It serves a lot of psychological needs and fulfills sociological purposes. If you were always stigmatizing it trying to avert people's eyes from yourself, then no wonder you can't fulfill such a basic social task as attracting a partner. In an extreme case, you don't even have an idea how to do that because you're missing that part of basic socialization in your brain that other people develop since puberty.
This can be a successful strategy only for cynics, who don't believe that, who are stigmatizing attention whoring while farming attention. But not for losers on ANONYMOUS image boards who can't even capitalize on that under a name.
There are 3 stages to this cancer. Coping teenager (pretty normal), young adult loser (worrisome), and sour grapes pretending they aren't interested in relationships anymore (borderline creepy)
