>>66305776>At the end, they treat streaming as time to steam off from their lives, or just like a hobby instead of actual work, so its obvious most of them if not all ham it up super hard so the viewers and themselves can thrive on the dumbasseryShowing off a bit of an airhead or dumdum side seems more appealing to the broader audience, because it's either "aww, she's seiso and kawaweeeeh" or they laugh their asses off and clipfags rub their hands for more material (applies to clippers and watchers alike). Being genuinely academic smart and showing it off tends to estrange a fair amount of people that aren't specific into it, whether it is lack of connection and topic comprehension or just lack of interest in such content. Despite what anons like to imagine, I would for example assume that Ollie is doing quite well academically (studying some STEM major if I remember correctly), but aside from some math streams she did, it hardly translates into her overall streaming persona, which is more of an energetic chaotic airhead that you would rather expect to burn math books in a chimney for a bit of warmth on a cold day. Just as you said, at the end a fair amount of people, streamers and viewers alike, use it to unwind or have some background noise, and prefer it being kept light.
