Chances are they were people who wanted to shit on Rissa than honest critique since if you listen to the karaoke she still sounds great. Even her being at so called "half-power" is greater than a lot of people, so even baiters and people starting shit are likely surprised. Main thing that is true is she has trauma from live performances and goes super stressful when doing them, other than that, her talent is fine.

And I think that is just Hololive being what it is that makes them amateurish with talent management, vtubers get the vibe of being like that friend who is relatable to you rather than professional stars, and vtubing is growing as a medium in the entertainment industry, Kiara pretty much wanted to be a diva of her own, things hadn't worked out, and she is here, so the company is growing with the talents, I really wouldn't expect them to be a professional powerhouse right away, because again, its amateurish (even if talented) people building their skills. I agree you should always press to get what you want, but there is more to it than just Kiara's input.
For that matter part of the reason I see Kiara being so personable is as a result of her own setbacks and seeing some of her colleagues get what she perceived as love back without reservation, like an idol story it seemed to me she wants that super tight generation of colleagues who are forever friends like in an idyllic story with starry eyed kouhais and senpais who raise them up. Of course, when she got Nerissa she probably didn't expect the gulf of love from an actual fan and you see in this karaoke, she ain't scared persay, but you can tell she is just now really seeing the depth of it from the other side. I would hope that while not having that love ebb, they get more used to each other.

I'd have plenty of time to cuddle and play with her hair and chat during meals for the remainder of a trip.
