There's no reason to take pro's complaints seriously, they complain about everything and they are not indicative of the state of the game. Like when they were very vocal about re-introducing duoq in master+ (which would completely fuck up high elo soloq) just because they want to practice in soloq with their teammates
About the second point, Riot's side projects being total failures does not mean that League is dying, it's the opposite actually. Riot will now focus more on its core games (League and Valorant). For example the Legends of Runeterra team that got slashed will be refocused on league now
