Someone earlier said this and it's exactly right: those fanbases with the super-tight-knit communities, where there are identifiable preferred paypigs who get all the attention, have growth problems because it feels pointless if you didn't get in early AND spam akasupas. Otherwise you don't feel like a part of it.
It's ideal to make all of your fans, from greynames to normal members to whales, feel like they're a part of it. Someone who just stumbed on your stream today should feel like they too can bask in your attention, if just a bit. Gura is quite good at this with her habit of reading random newfag grey messages occasionally.
