The more I see it the more I like her design, the juxtaposition of her interesting voice with that cute girly girl Milky Holmes looking model is pretty good. I don't like it, because there are some vtubers that take it too far. There's a vtuber I watch sometimes who is Australian but puts on an American accent when she's streaming. If you're at the point where you're not even using your actual accent because it "doesn't fit," I think that anime stereotypes have had a bad effect on you. Personally it's something I like about vtubers, getting to hear interesting accents that I wouldn't normally hear out of an anime character.

The fact that HoloEN did make a recovery makes me wonder if something similar is possible for NijiEN, but the thing is HoloEN only went through one graduation before they decided they had to get their asses in gear, while NijiEN has had several. I gave up on HoloEN a long time ago because I was unhappy with how things were going but it does sound like they improved a lot in my absence. I think I should take a year or two off NijiEN and see if the same happens. I don't even want to read anything about it, it's just going to be a bunch of doom and gloom for a long time. So I should probably take some time off from this place too. I'll keep up with Doki through her streams and stuff and avoid this place, it will probably do my mind a lot of good.

Open-ended content creators were never meant to be chained to a strict contract like how traditional employees are, and even then they are considered "independent contractors" which sets them up to getting shafted harder.

Which is why it's fucking important that you do everything in your power to ensure they LIKE being there and make their job as smooth as possible. There's all sorts of behind-the-scenes work managers and other staff can handle that just makes everything easier and makes the talent want to stay, even if scaling back and going solo would technically make them more money. Relying on fear and the threat of losing collabs with their friends will only go so far.
