Obviously, yes. I see a Coco/Kson situation. Where she goes Indie for awhile, half a year to a year, to recover from everything. Then she'll have the itch to do bigger things with more people and that's easier to do if you have a large pool of corpo friends to pull from. China basically considers you a Chinese citizen even when you try to give it up and claim naturalized citizenship elsewhere. And they use that to go after those they dislike. Once a Chinese citizen, always a Chinese citizen, for better or worse. So basically, tons of Chinese living abroad without Chinese citizenship after being naturalized elsewhere, have it still forced on them by the government when its convenient. I can understand that. My grandparents moved to Canada almost 40 years ago and never applied for a Canadian citizenship until in their retirement years. Though I think that was more to them not caring about doing so rather than because their home country did not allow dual citizenship (it does). I think if she's set on living in Canada for the rest of her life then it's still worth it down the line to apply, because I feel like Canada is relatively lax and welcoming to folks that want to do it. Otherwise we wouldn't have elected a guy like Trudeau or his father in the first place. Being Canadian is more than being born here, and as an example for Selen, who is Cantonese, I guess Toronto's current Mayor would be a good example of that message.

Because HoloEN managed to really unfuck itself after they fired Omega and put Dimitri Jap in charge. Sure there's still perms autism, but multiple talents have said things in the company have greatly improved from how things were run in 2022. And they just implemented a rule change for the 3D studio usage with favors the oversees groups.

It depends on what Doki wants to do. She can take it easy as an Indie, or try and aim for HoloEN and push herself to the next level.

At this point it hardly makes sense for her to join HOLO or any other group, She is gonna hit 300k when the stream hits - 500k at the end of the year is realistic.
She doesn't have much to gain - Her Selen career made her popular and i can't see Holo or any other agency benefitting her in a significant way - if anything she would have to make sacrifices due to corpo rules and sacrificing parts of her income.

Unless she really craves some sort of "community feel" it's better to stay indie at this point

I predict that a lot of the drama tourism will cease when she goes a few streams in and doesn't really talk about Nijisanji at all, she just moves on and continues streaming like normal. Firing her was just objectively the right choice...and yes, the bullying shit is so over the top insane that Niji is also in the wrong, and people are right to be outraged at them over it, and the way they brought it up means you can pretty reasonably interpret it in the worst possible light. I hope they experience real legal consequences over such a huge failure and while I don't expect them to all jump ship immediately, I do think poorly of everyone in NijiEN who sticks around long term.

in all seriousness, most likely unintentional perception. millie's twitter reply saying selen should've checked with their managers assumes that the managers act in good faith that millie believes is true, but selen instead sees it as a jab that she betrayed the company when it was actually the opposite. along with that, enna & reimu were probably also in selen's DMs saying "there's no way management rejected your song if you didn't get full permission, we've gotten so many song covers the go ahead after months to get that permission so you probably didn't get it all yet" - again, all of them assuming management was acting in good faith. hell, reimu had an original song since her debut that she even had animated that she never released because of apparent permission hell and just internalized it.
also, bear in mind that selen was probably not in call with them but just receiving text messages or posts, and intention on text is harder to get than when you're actually speaking to the person. it's also especially harder to read intentions when you're spiralling down depression.
tl;dr ethyria are bullies even when they act with good intentions (also why selen left the discord after their arrival)

I do suspect Vshojo is gonna try their damnedest to absorb her though. Supporting Doki is hot right now and Vshojo would have nothing to gain but enormous social media brownie points for flexing their good will again. That aside, it wouldn't be a bad fit. They do a lot to assist new talents well and many familiar faces both in and around the company are there for her.

Phase Connect as an Invader wouldn't be so bad if work environment was her top priority. Fishman's a rather kind CEO and he sees PC partly as way to train talents for a corporate environment. From the perspective of clip watchers the PC girls can be seen as bombastic troublemakers, but clips can do that to any talent. I think at the very least most of the PC girls are really passionate geeks from the "girl side" of the internet who can be really sweet. Can't see any of them treating her poorly. I think she would find many of them relatable, even. Though even with all that, PC would be more a new world to her as opposed to a place like Vshojo.

I don't know about the other corpos well enough, but ultimately I agree with others anons who argue she should be flying solo. At least for a while and see where it goes. She definitely has the upper hand to take her time and test the waters. She can hang around as many company talents as she's allowed to, and then see what company if any would be a good fit for her from those experiences. I'll support her wherever.
