1) Not freezing, you're applying to be a streamer after all and if you can't handle a question such as this in a private setting, how can they expect you to handle chat messages in a public setting?
2) Observing that Gura is where she is because it was a lightning in a bottle moment that can't be replicated because the field is different now.
2) Observing that Gura is where she is because she did her thing in a manner more popular (not better – important) than her genmates who were in that same lightning in a bottle moment; something can be learned of the way she does things even if her style of content creation is not (you)r own style. Give concrete examples if possible.
3) Tactfully (important) observing that she has faced much opprobrium due to not streaming much lately, and after briefly (important) assuring the interviewer that consistent streaming (and observing that she used to stream regularly) is what (you) plan on doing, then noting the lack of communication is the real issue; there are people (preferably name some applicable "competitors" here, but comparing her to a JP Holo might also be good and tactful) who can "get away" with lack of streaming due to their schedule and/or style of content creation and/or their frequent contact with their fanbase through other platforms, such as Twitter. Give concrete examples of how (you) plan on doing things.
4) Those other vtubers might be better examples to emulate since they didn't debut during a lightning in a bottle moment and thus their career trajectory is more likely to follow yours. On the other hand, especially if (you)r style is close to Gura's, you can observe that the lack of streams has left some Gura fans looking for other vtubers and explain how (you) might attract them.
5) Be funny about it, even to the point of ignoring all of the above in favour of making a joke – you're applying to be a streamer after all.
And on the off-chance that they are actually serious, (you) dodged a bullet when they get upset about (you) stating that they will not be able to level the playing field back into a state of early adopters and introduce another global pandemic. But I highly doubt they are, because it is a legitimately good interview question.
