But anyway, consider the fact that you only believe that other humans are "sapient" by inference because you observe certain behaviors and see similarities to yourself. We also see such behaviors in lower animals, but they suggest a lower degree of this quality rather than a complete lack. So there's no reason to think that "sapience" is a binary quality let alone that humans are the only animals that have it.
