You want to paint the entire hecking company as insane (btw, a company is not just Riku, its all the employees), instead of accepting Selen's problematic behavior. Let me put forward again, that Selen was threatening to release a statement. They released theirs first to get their side out first. Maybe you could argue that Selen was just making an empty threat, she wouldn't have done that. But didn't she have the legal team already, getting the statement drafted? They must have felt they had to be comprehensive in what Selen was claiming.
I feel like they had no good options.
Option 1: Fire Selen Release Statement (what they did)
Option 2: Fire Selen, Don't explain reasons
Option 3: Don't Fire Selen, risk her releasing statement of dirty laundry
Option 4: Cave to whatever negotiations they were having, give her everything she wants (whatever that was, clearly if they were stalled like this she was asking for something they couldn't or wouldn't do)
This whole monthlong #whereisslen fiasco was when they were negotiating and radio silent. The longer that dragged on, the more reputation loss. It just seems to me she wasn't budging, she made her threat to go public, they decided to terminate her then.
Its easy for Selen to claim she was willing to graduate amicably in Jan, while they claim she was about to release as statement. Maybe they felt if they let her graduate in Jan, the risk of her airing everything out still existed. Hence, their decision to air their side and fire her for the threat combined with all the other disciplinary measures. Remember, she was supposedly already on her final notice as of May 2023. What she did from Dec-Feb seems more than enough for a final offense.
So do you believe Nijisanji lied they gave her final notice in May of 2023? I believe they have evidence in hand of them having it, otherwise why state you have it?
