>>69159199The writing has been on the wall for NijiEN for some time now. For vTuber agencies to succeed they need to be able to grow new talent and keep the best old talent and they seem unable to do that. They've also become actively hostile to all their stars except Vox and his crew, and Vox can't hold the whole branch up in his shoulders. Selen and Pomu are gone and their biggest superchat earner Scarle is probably gone soon too. The remaining fanbase is mostly ultra-toxic femcels and you can't build the brand on that alone.
The only applicants they will get moving forward are extremely desperate 1 and 2views. Hololive has turned 2views into stars in the past, but the Hololive brand has a lot of muscle and the 2views are trained and taught to work together as part of a generation. Everyone is on the same team and responsible for helping each other succeed.
In Nijisanji, new talents are thrown out with zero prep and with other Livers in the branch actively trying to sabotage them either to steal their views and subs, or because they're sadistic psychopaths like The Clique who are just in it for the pleasure of hurting people. Combined with the reputational damage, there's simply no way for newbies to succeed. The newbies were already struggling badly prior to the Selen disaster. I can't even imagine what it will be like after.
The branch is a proverbial walking corpse and everyone knows it at this point. I predicted and continue to predict that by Q4 2024 or Q1 2025, the branch will be folded into JP and will begin winding down.
The only wild card is if Riku dumps his shares and sells the agency to a consortium of investors or a private equity group or something. A completely new management team could potentially amputate the gangrenous EN branch faster or attempt a major turnaround.
