everything makes sense to me if we start from the principle that nijiEN doesn't have any money themselves
not saying they are poor or that they don't make money, just that they have no money
maybe lack of support from nijiJP, or embezzlement, or whatever
everything, from talents getting no support, to artists and collaborators having delayed payments if any at all, talents having to pay for everything out of their pockets, lack of management, no 3D models/lives, cancelled projects, etc
initially, I thought Doki had requested something so unfathomable out of them, they didn't have a choice and had to move forward with the termination notice even though they knew it would be the wrong move
but that couldn't be the case
a lot of money like billions as reparations? can't be, she was planning on returning to streaming as dokibird after graduation and selling merch (making money) from there
keeping the selen model? also impossible as, once again, she was already planning on returning to dokibird by at least as early as december (probably way before it)
maybe a public apology from niji or her play button? small things they'd do in a heart beat if they only needed that to keep everything behind closed doors
so what could've been: an instant graduation+ reparation money, obviously, as the last option
but not something exorbitant, but a decent amount to cover for her losses from the previous year
the problem is that nijiEN did NOT have that money, so they had to hold her back until they did, thus the delays and radio silence between the parties, and they couldn't bring this to nijiJP or things would get awful for them (I mean, JP would ask what happened, why did the negotiations failed, and most importantly why don't they have any money to make a hush agreement)
when she sent them her documents, they panicked and assumed she was coming out with everything, which would link with that rushed job of a termination notice (later confirmed it was made in less than 2 hours) as a hail mary completely ignoring repercussions, and expecting to garner sympathy from the public
the proof of that is that they had to make that 15 minute video later, because the hail mary obviously didn't work since it lacked context and information, so they had to bring those out there
but at that point it was too late and people already picked a side so it only helped them the dig themselves further, even more when inconsistencies still existed after the video, and worse of all, names were given for the first time
