In streams she doesn't have much of a filter, she's just real with whatever she talks about. She finds joy and entertainment in the smallest things (such as literally just playing with rubber ducks for a whole stream), and when she actually gets into something it's almost like she's in a trance, where the stream comes second and what she's doing is all she's focusing on. For some that may be a shortcoming, but for me it's the best seeing Risu having such genuine fun.
As a side note, it's for this reason I still firmly believe that her Nier Automata playthrough is the best from any Holo that I've seen and it's a great entry point displaying so many of her appeals. She got so invested in the game, that trance-like state I mentioned occurred a number of times and she also gave some incredible performances in it
https://streamable.com/80fukzShe's mostly unfiltered normally, but in member streams she's got pretty much 0 filter. Her membership numbers are small enough that she can talk about important or personal matters and actually trust that it won't get leaked everywhere (for example, she let members know she was actually getting a rigging update about 2 weeks before it actually happened and it remained confidential up to the moment she revealed it in the middle of a fucking free talk stream), which REALLY drives the whole "genuine" part of her for my experience. Not to mention the fact that the chat is slow enough in member streams that anything you say is almost guaranteed to be read if not responded to. Thanks to those smaller numbers I can interact with her in a way that no EN could ever do.
There are so many layers to Risu, but you over time you can also see and understand some of what she's like beneath all that which makes her even more fascinating to watch. At the end of the day she's no GFE or born entertainer, she's just a funny, flawed, genuine girl and something about it just clicks with me. She's truly unlike anyone else in Hololive.
