How many corpo vtubers have actually hired a lawyer to review their contracts before signing onto an agency instead of leaving it up to fate?

This true even before Vtubers. People would sign a contract to whore to try to get to Hollywood. Let's not touch the idol industry before the scandals with a ten foot pole.

Most of the time the "talents" that sign contracts are basically irrelevant and broke.
Once they become famous and make money they want out of their contract.

If the vtuber is famous and making a very nice living there's a low chance they would sign a bad contract.

Honestly this, but it shouldn't be a reason for anyone to sign a bad contract. You can secretly have a lawyer review it if you are smart, so you know if you have a way out in case things turn out Black Company.

Unless you're already quite successful you're signing the contract regardless, it's not like they're going to negotiate with some shitter and give them a way better contract just because they got a lawyer. Your options are either sign it or you're out of a job. Most of them signed it, a few (Cy Yu, the secret forth Krisis member, maybe a couple more) didn't and stayed indie.
