While being babysat once with another girl as a small Ame, Ame once ate through some chocolates that were meant for an upcoming special occasion. She blamed it on the other girl, and got away with it.

For a time, in middle school, Ame wore slippers fashioned after the Abominable Snowman from Rankin-Bass' "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" special. Later in life, she met one of her teachers from that time at the store, and wondered if he would remember her. It turns out that he did, and the reason he did was because of the slippers.

As part of her multiple aquariums and tanks, Ame once owned a little goby by the name of Mogu. Mogu would occasionally have trouble eating, and mysteriously vanished one day, with the likely cause being a bobbit worm discovered in the tank shortly after.

The Watson Family once owned a dog named Bongo, who got out on New Year's Eve one year. When they ran out after him, shouting his name, the neighbors assumed it was some form of strange tradition and joined in.
