>>72240013I'm American and I know someone who took some fucker to court for damages and the court agreed that damages had to be paid. But here's the thing, The fucker never paid a single cent of damages and the court just said there wasn't anything to be done except to place a lien. So he placed a lien on the other guy's house and never received anything for 15 YEARS until the fucker tried to sell the house and couldn't because of the lien. I'm not sure of the exact way things work in Serafi's country, but I guarantee she's not a homeowner with her vtuber pay and she probably doesn't have any large assets except maybe a shitbox car.
V&U doesn't have any practical course of action regardless. Lets say hypothetically that everything goes wrong for serafi: The court agreed with V&U, ordered her to pay massive damages, and she has a lien placed on whatever large asset she has (probably none, but this is a hypothetical). Now what? What do you expect V&U to do? They just spent a huge sum of money suing a rando half way across the planet. And Serafi is already broke and doesn't even have the means to pay what they're asking for. The best they could even hope for is to get some money trickling in some time in the far flung future. And even if they do get money, anything that they receive will never match the amount spent on the lawsuit itself. The entire premise of this is retarded.
What's a possibility is that V&U uses this scare tactic on her, tells her to settle out of court, and she gives them some nominal amount just to get them off her back. The more likely scenario is that they just send a bunch of strongly worded letters and she uses them as kindling in her europoor wood burning stove.
This is actually what's going to happen. There is exactly 0% chance that V&U will ever see they six gorillion korean funny bucks or whatever their currency is called
