>>73307789> difference is that otaku shit is widely more accepted thereOh sure, that's why Sora was crying about her not getting any serious sponsorships despite being one of the few 100k chuubas in existence. The "otaku acceptance" thing is a lot more recent, and even now there's still a HUGE subsection of normies that seethe at the V豚 crowd.
> Western well is Irony poisoned to the maxJapan's streaming culture was like that for a while as well anon.
Pekora was an NND troll, and a ton of the old NND crowd still continues to seethe at Holos (who are also old NND folks for the most part) finding success by "pretending to be anime girls and milking otaku".
Hololive is arguably the REASON that a ton of normies even considered entering the otaku space. They're just THAT talented and entertaining, at least compared to their competition there. Hololive has single handedly made oshikatsu into an activity that normies are getting into. People like Jimmy or that viking dude or that ripped nigga with the Nene daki are completely breaking the perception of "otaku" in the eyes of the JP mainstream. You just don't expect people like that to be into "otaku shit". Whether it's the east OR the west.
But notice how all of them were cheering for JP Holos? Viking dude was a kenzoku, ripped nigga is a Nekko and Jimmy's a hardcore Rosetai. Hell the gosling dude from last fes was an ichimi. Foreigners have zero "otaku" related shame or "muh ironic" fears when it comes to supporting JP holos. So why does that same level of passion not appear for EN holos?
> Now imagine GuraWe do not NEED to imagine anon.
We saw their leeching attempts FIRST HAND.
> they would have had her changing modelsYou are an absolute retard that doesn't understand that they already tried this. Do you not remember Brittany Venti and how utterly she got btfo by existing holofans for her retardation?
Again you keep talking as if I want holos to INTERACT with these fools. Or get some form of acknowledgement from those shitstains.
No.
That's not what I want at all.
See this list for example
>>73304221 where an anon points out how HoloEN girls are at #34 or some shit.
The equivalent of that list for JP chuubas has at least 6-7 Holos in the TOP 10 every single time! And Pekora or Miko are at #1 most of the time.
THAT'S where I want HoloEN to be! At the very TOP!
JP holos worked their ass off year over year in order to get to where they are now.
If the ENs were giving us SOMETHING, we could spread the word, push them to our normie friends, increase mindshare etc. etc.
More regular EN translated Covers from Nerissa. Full EN songs without JP stuff from Mori (ala Red, which a TON of my normie friends loved, or Play Dice - but with a non-JP rhythm so that people can actually follow the lyrics). Fun animated stuff like Q (Again, in English. Not everyone is weeb enough to know Japanese but a ton of them like good quality MVs when they can understand the lyrics). More 1 on 1 collabs where the dynamics between different HoloEN pairs can be fleshed out, whether it's just a "getting to know your senpai" type streams or as simple as just playing Asobi Taizen with each other. Or prank streams where the plan is fake and they're trying to trick the other girls. How many "prank" type interactions did we even see in the past idk 2 years or so?
But none of that is happening.
If you're just mindlessly watching streams and not doing any form of oshikatsu, then yeah, maybe that's "good enough" for you.
But I want them to GROW man. Bigger and Better than these absolute shitters that are currently "dominating" the streaming space. And they're talented, I KNOW they can do it.
But to spread the word the fans NEED something to push with. MVs, Cover songs, fun streams, 1 on 1 collabs, events, funny skits, SOMETHING.
When JP holos are giving something interesting to catch the interest of people every 2 weeks or so (which even catch the eyes of EN crowd btw, clips from Korone, Miko etc. are SUPER popular in the EN fleshie react crowd), seeing the absolute BARREN state of EN in comparison just fills me with sadness.
