Also wow that i think about it, it very well couldve been already damaged during shipping, the brackets structural integrity compromised if the packing material wasn't tight enough, if the gpu was pre-installed during shipping and the package was positioned up right. Bumps on the road, 3kg of wobbly weight on the socket seems likely to wear out the socket, more so than the life span of the pc just sitting around would do. It probably was just a slow process of something that was already set in motion during shipping.
A good example is that one ibuypower prebuilt that got shipped to GN.
